KRANJ: Dyeing textile bags with natural dyes
In the workshop Dyeing Textile Bags with Natural Dyes, led by designer Vita Ivičić, participants will decorate cotton tote bags using the Japanese shibori technique and dye them with natural turmeric dye to give the bags a sunny yellow color. They will learn the basics of natural dyeing techniques - from collecting and storing plants to preparing textiles for dyeing. They will create their own unique bag that they can use to carry books to and from the library.
