Kranj - Textile IRL

The Textile IRL workshop series, aimed at teenagers, encourages critical thinking about mobile phone use and digital socialization, and the translation of feelings, trends, and impressions of the digital world into material space. Participants will create wearable textiles and canvases for the final exhibition. The cross-cultural workshops connect teenagers from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. They are led by Klara Debeljak, an artist and researcher of digital identities, who in 2025, with the children of Kosovar immigrants and in collaboration with the internationally renowned artist from Pristina, Jakup Ferri, completed the project Concert in the Forest for BIEN 2025, which is still on display in the children's section of our library. The workshop is aimed at teenagers from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, aged 12 to 19.
