Matty the bus starts the first make-a-thek journey
Berlin, May 2026 – Sewing machines, repair tools, biomaterials, looms, textiles, and mobile workshop kits are packed: from 30 May to 13 June 2026, the travelling makerspace will stop in libraries, public squares and community spaces across Germany, Czechia, and Poland to host activities around circular fashion, repair, crafts, and digital making.
make-a-thek Bus Brings Circular Making to European Communities
Berlin, 7 April 2026 – The European project make-a-thek is launching a mobile makerspace bus to bring circular fashion, repair skills, and creative technologies directly to communities across Europe. Following the first pilot workshops in public libraries, the bus will travel to towns and rural areas, bringing hands-on experiences in sustainable making directly to communities.
